The Divine Encounter
In 2007, Mama Lucee experienced a divine encounter that reshaped her music and mission. She received a clear message:
“Reggae music is my music, do it well.”
This revelation gave her the boldness to fully embrace Gospel reggae, dedicating her talent to spreading the Gospel through this genre. It marked a paradigm shift, igniting a movement that continues to grow through festivals, concerts, and global engagements.
Mama Lucee draws inspiration from Evi Edna Ogholi, the pioneering Nigerian female reggae artist of the 1980s and 1990s. Recognizing the importance of mentorship, she sought guidance from industry legends like Dr. Panam Percy Paul and Buchi, who helped shape her journey in Gospel music.
Beyond her music, Mama Lucee is a visionary and a movement leader. She founded the Kristofarians Family Reggae Movement, a thriving global initiative dedicated to promoting Gospel reggae. The group is formally registered as the Gospel Reggae Team Initiative, a nongovernmental organization (NGO) focused on using reggae music as a tool for evangelism and empowerment.
Through this platform, she continues to:
✅ Organize Gospel reggae festivals & concerts
✅ Support and mentor upcoming Gospel reggae artists
✅ Uplift the rich and poor through music and outreach
